IE Philosophy

Intuitive Eating (IE) Story
Yes, I know these ladies are probably not age 40+, but that's not the point. Look at the body differences; that's the point. IE is about self-acceptance in order to have a better relationship with food. Properly nourishing yourself for YOUR individual needs (self-acceptance) in order to feel healthy is self-care. Let me be clear. IE is not about mindless eating whatever you want. It's about being intuned to YOUR UNIQUE BODY NEEDS and trying your best to nourish yourself with wisdom--most times.

Our bodies are always talking to us through normal physiology (hunger pangs, fullness, emotions, physical pain, etc); or through our lab reports. I encourage you to listen, and I'm here to help you become a better listener.

Intuitive Eating 10 Principles provides the basis for becoming a better listener...(see below)
The 10 Principles
In order to become a better listener, and ultimately feel healthier, IE encourages accepting the mind-body connection. The body talks to the mind and visa versa via instincts, emotion, and rational thought The following principles help one to become a better listener. By listening you will be engaging in self-care; IE is a self-care eating framework.
After our Initial Assessment and subsequent follow-up, together we will decide what Principles to work on the most.

Principle 1) Reject the Diet Mentality
Principle 2) Honor your Hunger
